UBA Bank Manager Who Stole N6Million From Customer’s Account With Forged Signature Charged
Former UBA Bank Operations Manager, Bolaji Akanni who allegedly stole N6million from a customer’s bank account in Lagos has been charged.
The 35-year-old resident of #4 Tola Olojede street, Meiran Lagos was arraigned before Justice Komolafe of an Igbosere Magistrates’s court yesterday.
The former banker is standing trial on 2-count charge of forgery, fraud and stealing.
The prosecutor in charge of the case, Inspector Abass Abayomi said the defendant committed the offence on the 9th of January 2017 at UBA’s 12/14 Broad Street Lagos Island branch, during work hours.
Abbass added that Akanni forged the signature of one Ogalla Chizoba before stealing N6million from the account.
The customer notified the bank when he saw the strange alert.
