Suspected Kidnapper Stripped Unclad, Beaten Up After Being Caught Abducting A Boy In Lagos (Video)

A suspected kidnapper has been beaten up and stripped unclad after he was caught abducting a boy in Lagos.   The chaotic scene after the kidnapper was caught   A video has shown how a suspected kidnapper was disgraced after he was allegedly caught abducting a boy.   The unnamed man was, today, caught at Osho-Ogun bus stop, Ketu, Lagos, after he allegedly abducted a 4 year old boy in the area.   Local reports show that he had already lured the boy into his car before being caught by some persons who raised alarm. US Court Dismisses Biafra Suit Against Nigerian Government

The proscribed secessionist group in the South-eastern part of Nigeria, IPOB has lost in a U.S court.   File Photo   A District of Columbia (DC) Court in the United States (U.S.), has dismissed the suit filed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) against the Federal Government and 15 others seeking millions of dollars compensation.   The group, through its plaintiff, Godson M. Nnaka and his lawyers, is also seeking payment of 40 per cent of the $550 million Abacha loot.   Respondents in the suit are the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, Director General of the State Security Service (SSS), Lawal Daura, former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase and his successor, Ibrahim Idris.   Others are governors of Abia and Anambra states, Okezie Ikpeazu and Willie Obiano.   IPOB had filed the case against the defendants in the U.S. court, alleging rights violation, torture and killing of its members,...

A bullion van has reportedly knocked a man to death in a community in Delta, shattering his limbs and skull in the process. Naira Appreciates Against Dollar At Parallel Market

The Nigerian naira today rallied round to record a gain against major currencies at the parallel market including the dollar. Currencies   The Naira on Wednesday gained marginally against the dollar at the parallel market in Lagos, the News Agency of Nigeria  reports.   The Nigerian currency gained 50 kobo to close at N358, stronger than N358.5 traded on Tuesday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N480 and N418.5 respectively.   At the Bureau De Change window, the naira closed at N360 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N480 and N418.5 respectively.   The naira, however, appreciated at the investors’ window, closing at N361.45, stronger than N361.68 traded on Tuesday, while it was sold at N305.90 at the Central Bank of Nigeria official window.   Meanwhile, Mr Godwin Emefiele, CBN Governor, said that Nigeria performed very well among emerging markets in Africa.   Emefiele in an inter...
